What will you most miss about the story of the soldier and the girl?

vote:

- him saving her multiple times

- him taking off her clothes to extract the pieces of glass

- him acting bossy with her as not to give her too much closeness

- him being handsome and aloof and unable to express his feelings

- her taking care of him while he has fever and is about to die

- her crying on his chest and daydreaming about him

- her refusing help from him just to show pride

When did one of them become a soldier?

Just a few minutes ago I was thinking, "It's too bad Y!A is closing down, but at least we won't have to endure any more of that badly-written, sub-teen nauseating soldier-and-weepy-girl rubbish".

    There's always a silver lining.

--none of the above, because not once has any of those actions seemed in character, much less romantic

What I hope, but do not expect, will happen is that the writer decides to master the basics of writing fiction before she shares her work in public.

The terribly stilted writing. And confused phrasing. Odd word choices.

I burst with joy inside at the thought of you being crushed that you'll be unable to seek attention and validation from strangers with ease and that your mental health will decline rapidly once you lose this outlet for your crippling depression and loneliness. Up the IRA.
