My doctor prescribed these a long time ago to deal with both depression and insomnia. I remember telling him that sometimes I still thought about killing myself and using the pills and he told me that I would need A LOT more than prescribed. Just to be safe, right now I really want a deeeeeeep sleep and I was thinking 4 50mlg pills would do the trick, will I be okay?

Trazodone is an antidepressant, not a sleeping pill. It has strong sedative properties, but taking more won't guarantee you a deep sleep. It might just make things worse. You should check with your doctor or pharmacist first because sometimes taking more does more harm than good.
Also - the brain does not need deeeeep sleep for more than about 3 hours a night. You should research sleep architecture and learn a bit about how we sleep and what kind of sleep we actually need. People think we need deep sleep for eight hours a night. That simply is not true, the brain is not even capable of sleeping deeply for that long, not without drugs, and if we drugged ourselves to accomplish that it would do more harm than good.
Be careful with trazodone and other sleeping medications. They can interfere with our sleep architecture, and although we may spend more time sleeping, we don't always get the sleep we need and they can make things worse. Talk to your doctor about this.
1. They will damage your liver big time and you can get into serious health problems.
2. You will get hooked up on them and you won't be able to have a normal life any more if you don't take your pills everyday.
The sleeping pills industry is damaging our health by capitalizing on our ignorance, and by distracting people from effective and natural ways to deal with this problem. I had been taking prescription sleep medications [Ambien] for over 5 years. It stopped working and I simply took more. Still did not work. Nights were very difficult - medication put me to sleep but I would wake up after 2–3 hours with a strong sympathetic response (fast pulse, pounding heartbeat, wide awake alert). It was a very difficult cycle to break. I was really in bad shape due to lack of sleep.
After years of struggling I was able to cure my insomnia naturally and pretty fast. I followed the Sleep Tracks sleep optimization program, here is their official web -site if you want to take a look: http://www.insomniacure.net
I can't blame you. Life is a sexually transmitted disease and then you die. It ain't no gift! The more life haters the better. But understand that you could have it so much worse--you could have Asperger's Syndrome, which is a death sentence!
