how to get title or starage fees to abanded vehicle?

I bought a truck from a buy here pay here lot. I made all paymentd on time and extra. They misplaced a check and came to get the truck but I was not here so they left empty handed. When I called them they founf the payment. They didnt say sorry or nothing but wanted to charge me for the repo fees. I told them no and they said they would come pick it up if I didnt pay that so I cancelled the check and my insurance and told the to come get it. Its been sitting in my front yard for over a month in plain sight. Is there any law I can file for ownership as abanded property or can I charge the storage fees? I live in GA. Thanx

To all the smart asses out there. Repo means they own it and where coming to get it. I was making payments and was never behind. They want me to pay the repo charges even tho it was there mistake. I dont want to be looking over my shoulder all the time wondering if they screwed up.

Who OWNS the title???? If you do, pay the late fee and swallow your pride. If THEY have the title it's THEIR problem! You can call the cops if they own it and have them to an impound yard where it becomes THEIR problem again. If YOU put it in storage that's YOUR problem again and YOU pay the storage fees, not them. Sounds like grown up case of "Hot Potato" .....find out who owns it and who HAS the title before you do anything.

The truck is YOURS, you can't charge the dealer for refusing to tow away the car.

Keep driving it. You own it.

Only a complete moron would forfeit ownership of a vehicle because of a dispute over a small repo fee. Why don't you take the dealer to court and fight for your rights rather than rolling over and playing dead.

You must be kidding.

Its YOUR car. The fact that they didn't repo it means nothing.

They could sue you & end up garnishing your wages to collect. All while the truck sits where it is.

(They probably wont but they could)

It's not an "abandoned vehicle", bonehead. Pay the damn charges, get your car back, then deal with "their" mistake.
