Most vegetarians(nothing wrong with that) eat vegetables because of health factors.
A lot of the vegans i know are also into animal rights (their choice).
Would there be a People for the ethical treatment of plants group?

Ha! Great question. Plants function knowingly just like any other living thing... People love thinking they're Gods.

If it were proven that plants can feel pain, I think it would be a case of choosing which is better for us..i.e. plant based foods are healthier than meat, therefore we'd have to come to terms with the fact that we are causing some pain, but at least we're not killing ourselves too in the process.
