why does my phone keep saying that i have one unread message when there is none?

Question

I have a new LG opt 9... It has been saying that I have one unread message but when i try to open it there is nothing... in fact it just leads me to a new empty message to compose... What is wrong with it and how can i fix it? Is there any way of fixing it w/o resetting the whole thing back to how it was when i first got it from factory because i have a lot on there... Thanx.. Please let me know because this is getting very frustrating... I eve tried to restart cell but nothing happened it just popped right back up...

i'm not positive but i had the same problem and i just kept clicking messages until it went away. Sometimes messages won't register that they've been opened. I hope this helps and if it doesn't sorry.

I wasn't able to find any problems on your account that would cause this issue. I'd recommend removing and re-adding your account from your device. When re-adding the account be sure to follow the steps in this Yahoo Help article.
