I have a Sony Handycam DCD camcorder. When I try to view the videos, they show up as BUP, IFO or VOB files. I can sometimes see the IFO files, but not the others. I usually use media player to view videos. Is there a way to convert them so I can view them, and upload them to youtube?
Thanks!

I have ever used Any Video Converter Ultimate to convert .vob files into my iPad, but I don't know whether it supports converting .bup files or not. Maybe you can have a try: http://www.any-video-converter.com/products/for_video_ultimate/
They are DVD folder format. VOB contains most video data. However, IFO and BUF is also needed to keep the correct video. Try a covnerter which can support DVD ripping, such as Bigasoft Total Video Converter. If you want to upload to YouTube and keep good quality. Try MP4 or WebM format, not flv.
BUP stands for Back Up. So, you just need to convert vob files to youtube supported video formats like mp4 with aneesoft video converter or ifunia video converter.
I think flv is the best choice to upload to YouTube website. and if you do not want to reduce the video quality, you should try using FREE "3GP Video Converter" to convert your dvd video(.vob) files to flv format with high quality. And then upload the converted video to YouTube.com. You can download "3GP Video Converter" here FREE: http://download.cnet.com/Free-3GP-Video-Converter/3000-2194_4-10699680.html#editorsreview
