If you're having trouble getting started, maybe try writing whatever ideas come to mind and worry about structure later. Come up with some central idea in one or two sentences (or thesis) based on your ideas and just write based on that central idea and however painful it might be, drop what doesn't fit in your main idea.
Maybe you could fit the disconnected ideas of yours into your muse.
