What comics should I read if I want to read the comic comparison of the Amazing Spider Man movies?

I love the new Amazing Spider Man movies, and I want to read the comics to get more of a background on it. I have absolutely no idea where to start though.

I guess basically my favourite part of the movie is Gwen Stacey and I want to read the comics that have her in it to start with.

I have never done comics before... are they available in libraries?

I don't actually know the answer to this, but I'm going to tell you how to find out. Go to your local comic book store, and ask them this same question. People who work at comic book stores have read comics for years, and will be able to point you in the right direction.
