Can you recommend a guitar strap?

I bought my son a guitar last summer for his birthday. This one http://www.epiphone.com/Products/Acoustic-Electric/PR-5E.aspx in the natural finish. I want to get him a strap for it for Christmas but I don't know anything about straps. What will fit it? I can see it has a post on the bottom where it connects but what about the other end of the strap? Does a typical strap come with everything he'll need or will I need an accessory to connect it at the other end?

I like some straps I've found on etsy. Here are some I like a lot

Will any of these work on that guitar? o you have any that you like that are similar in style to these that you would recommend? Thanks so much for your advice!

Judging from images, it looks like this guitar model also has a strap button on the heel of the guitar in addition to the one at the lower bout. In other words, you can use any guitar strap you like.

Guitar straps is about personal taste and preferences and they can typically, easily be shortened or made longer by adjustments on the strap. Just to make sure (in case this guitar does not have a strap button at the heel), you can get a strap with a lace tied to one end. This lace can then be tied around the head of the guitar. Later on, you can have a guitar tech fitting a strap button for you - this is very easy, quick and cheap to get fixed.

If you don't find a strap with a lace (they are everywhere really), you can use a regular shoelace or something similar to tie around the head ... if needed :-)

Leather straps are of course very nice, just make sure they are adjustable enough.

Considering that's a pretty plywood guitar I wouldn't go too crazy with the strap, Just a simple nylon strap type will do, if it doesn't have a heal button then a cheap shoe string will suffice for a traditional acoustic strap, which is strung under the strings behind the nut and through the button hole of the strap, Its not exactly rocket science, Go for a Jim Dunlop, there a local company in my neck of the woods, about 5 miles from where I live, and I like to keep my money local

Any of those straps would be fine although you might need to have a strap button installed on the treble side of the heel of the neck. That's a quick and inexpensive fix.
