Atheists: Christian kook claims bible is more accurate than modern science?

I don't know if he was legit or just trolling...but I kept reading on and it was a real mind sore. I came to the conclusion that it was legit when he replied as an incredibly religious person.

"Scientists hide the truth from the public because they fear the public will crap their pants"

That's one of his quote...he also says that with the power of Jesus I can be cured, modern science is the result of um...Jesus and God? I guess....

YOUR OPINIONS?

Some information IS hidden from the public, (not just by scientists), and that can be for our safety.

On James May's Toy Story the other day, he tried to make a children's toy (Action Man) break the sound barrier by putting it in a model rocket. The formula for the rocket fuel was deliberately concealed from the viewers, to prevent people reproducing it. Just an example.

People are certainly entitled to their opinion.
Its really easy to say "Scientists hide the truth from the public because they fear the public will crap their pants" but that is just a statement, not fact.
Rational people require proof - rhetoric doesn't count as proof.

You choose to believe what you want - personally I prefer evidence.

Evolution is a theory. THEORY, wrap that around your mind. When is the last time you watched an ape turn completely into a human man? And you ask for evidence.
Oh that's right , it may have started with the pond scum. The pond scum starts swimming and evolving and then walks on dry ground with human lungs. You can evolve from pond scum if you want to.
My God doesn't resemble pond scum or
monkey uncles or cousins. And we were all,
Yes all of us created in His image!

Maybe the Christian has a point. Let me do some research using my faith powered computer... wait thats not working. I know I'll hop in my faithmobile and drive down to the local library.

I have heard numerous Christians (almost invariably Creationists) make this sort of claim.

I'm not sure how one would go about even beginning a discussion with a person whose perception of reality is that grievously warped.
