Why does it cost more to travel from US to Italy and not Italy to US?

I just did an online search. Round trip Airline ticket Bologna-Fresno Costs 700 euro. Round trip Airline ticket Fresno-Bologna Costs 1300 euro. Same cities, same dates, 1 person, same website, etc. Why the Big difference??
