I'm considering doing this as a prank next year to my landlords. No hate, just want to do something memorable that won't get me evicted.

Depending on where you get them, money orders may be under a dollar to $10 or more.
It wouldn't be very economical to split the $900 into multiple money orders. And why do you need them separated in such a fashion?

That could, in fact, get your tenancy terminated, after which you could be evicted. Some landlords have no sense of humor and would view such foolishness as an attempt to test or torment them.
