Is the bond I have with my yorkie a fiction?

Sabre is a furry toy dog who loves to come hang with me in my computer room when I'm home. He sleeps in his bed there, or curls up next to my chair. 
However, my air condition unit is on the blink and the room is now very hot and he no longer comes to hang with me. He prefers to stay outdoors where it is cooler. My wife is very hurtful and says he bonded with my air condition unit, and not me. Is she correct? Should I fix the unit and get my furry friend back?

I think your Wife is funny, not hurtful.  Get the AC fixed and be done with it regardless to where the dog ends up staying.  Just for the record, that is NOT a Yorkie.

I think your dog enjoys your company but not at the price of a heat collapse. Which means your dog is smart. You might be smart to follow the example of the dog.
