Yes. I know many people who've traveled to other countries for dental work. It cost them less to fly, stay in a nice hotel, and receive good care, than it would have cost them for the same dental work in the US.

I noticed an article today on Yahoo news about many senior citizens in the USA going to Mexico for dental work because Medicare does not offer much in the way of dental care for those without private dental insurance.
I know when I was in the US I called a dental school and the wait time was so long they were not even taking appointments.
I now live in Hungary and am undergoing allot of dental work, getting what would easily cost more then $10,000 worth of treatments or more for just under $500.
Why does Medicare not care about the dental health of seniors with low incomes, dental health is an effective way to keep healthy.
My friend from the UK is even considering getting her dental implants done here in Hungary, they are under $1,000 each tooth.

I wouldn't because I don't like to travel, but my sister, who lives part of the year in Mexico has all her dental work done there. She says she has an excellent dentist who was educated in the U.S., and has a state of the art office, but only pays a fraction of what she would pay here. For example, she recently had a root canal and a crown, and the whole thing came to $150. That would probably cost about $2000 in my area.

No not unless I actually moved to another country permanently. I have dental insurance and I save money so that I can afford to have whatever dental work needs doing. Usually it's just regular six month check-ups. Otherwise if I need a cap replaced because it's worn out and cracked, I can deal with it.

Not at this point in my life. My teeth and gums are in pretty good shape and I take care of them so I'm not anticipating needing much dental work other then the usual cleaning.
