Many gun advocates recently have pointed out "Well, cars kill people, too, so should we outlaw cars?" Here's the thing: with cars, we have passed laws making it illegal to drive while drinking or on drugs, requiring the use of seatbelts, making sure all cars and all drivers are registered and all drivers pass a driving and informational test, requiring people to carry insurance, requiring the auto companies to make cars safer with features like air bags, making drivers accountable for unsafe driving both economically and legally, setting safe speed limits, etc. And these laws have greatly reduced fatal car accidents and made our highways safer.
So what would be wrong with passing similar laws to make guns and gun use safer?

When a society becomes self centered and uses the "mortar" to bind it together that the liberals are using- such things become more prevalent!
Your question shows the root problem with liberals! They hold a thing accountable for a persons actions. The problem is not the gun- but the politicians who preach hate and encourage the feelings of victimization! It breeds self pity and encourages people to put the blame on others instead of holding themselves accountable.
If you want to end gun violence- then the liberals and conservatives need to stop preaching hate and feeding loathing of others! Start encouraging every one to get off their butts and change for the better!

The one refusing to confront the REAL problem is OBAMA and the Liberals... Confront CHICAGO and the rest of the Liberal Governed Cities... The PROBLEM is with the PEOPLE that Obama and this Liberal Government has produced.

If it does then I'm disappointed in this country, the second amendment will never go away it has a good reason to be there.

Not likely, but I'm not going to be complacent about it. Lest you forget, the 2nd Amendment is the last and best defense for all the others.
