Lord Of The Flies Pt.3
Not even close. The Republicans were acting like a bunch of middle school bullies and the Democrats argued their positions on issues. As an undecided voter this was obvious. Only some kind of pundit would miss this blatant fact.

Yes it does. The Republican Party (God Bless) is giving people safe, and reasonable reasons to vote for them that won't destroy our economy or safety or foreign relations, may be bad short term but will help us in the long run, just like vegetables. The Democrat Party on the other hand is giving the voters reasons to vote for them that will hurt everyone in the long run, the same effect that candy has on your health.

Nutritious and wholesome? I realize this is meant to be a metaphor, but there's nothing nutritious and wholesome about what the Republican party is selling. No action on climate change, lift pollution controls so our air and water is dirtier, heaven forbid we should try to give kids healthy food in schools, cut aid to the poor that they need to feed their children, subsidize major corporations instead of farmers growing healthy foods, no labeling of GMO foods that would give us more control over what we're eating.

I don't see it that way. Both sides just have their own version of candy. The GOP debaters offered candy to their base. Their candy may be the more sour kind, but it satisfies conservatives' desires. Fear, guns, deportations, walls, tax cuts, warmongering, corporate breaks: that's the GOP version of candy. None of that conservative version of candy is without cost to us all.

Yep, and I'd rather see free enterprise by Republicans. Everyone knows nothing is free.
