Is my step mom mean or am I just a bad child?

Ive gotton in trouble 2 times with my step mom.(all for small things) after moving in from my abusive mom. about a month ago. this woman has been there everytime ive been with my dad but... I don't have that connection and its just uncomfortable. I still have regrets and I take them out on myself. I sometimes shut her out when she talks to me. and I don't mean it. help I cant help it

It takes time to get to know another person.  Ask your step mom what chores you should be doing and don't have to be reminded of them.  Make a point of listening to her and try to hear what she is not saying along with what she is saying to you.

i dont think youre a bad child, but maybe you should try apologizing to her if you think you did something wrong
