Do rental car gps tracking devices bounce off the nearest tower?
Do the towers record info of the rental car having been there. For example, without ever knowing there was a rental car in the area, is it possible for investigators to go to the nearest tower of the area they are investigating and find out from the recorded info in those towers that a rental car was in the area from the gps recordings that the tower made from the rental car gps bouncing off the towers? Can they get access to this info even years later just from going to those towers and retrieving that info even without them having prior knowledge of a rental vehicle in the area?
Hey ANONYMOUS,
If what you are saying is true about the GPS being tracked in outer space , then you are pretty positive that there are no towers that it bounces off and no way to get that info unless they know its a rental vehicle and go to the specific rental company? For example they cant just go to the nearest tower of the area they are investigating like they do for cell phones and figure out who was there just based on having their cell phone turned on while driving thru the area?
