So basically this guy asked me to be his girlfriend, and I didn't know what to say so I said "Why don't we go on a few dates and see after?" I don't understand my feelings, and I don't know what to do.

Well, if ya wanna brush him off you could just kill him off with excuses e.g. I'm busy, I'm working, I'm seeing family or I already have plans etc etc.
But its always best to be honest mate, just say the bloody truth, express your feelings and how you're currently unsure about what you want and how ya feel about it all.
