You may turn on the TV at 9 AM every morning,
and then an advertisement comes on at exactly the same time,
and then you subconsciously look at the clock
because you are bored with the commercial.
Something like that is happening at the same time each day
which is directly your attention to the watch or clock or phone in the room.
