Is CNN's reporting that Buzzfeed was publicizing an unverified document making outrageous claims = fake news?

It's was no secret about the document all the media outlets knew of it but on the night before Trump's first Press conference after the election Buzzfeed/NBC/Comcast ran with the report. CNN jump right on the story for their morning program Cuomo was loving it

and was doing more then simply reporting that morning, they promoted the author as credible and just need to vet/verified a part of the report never mentioning the content of the video becasue if they did only a zealot liberal would believe the claim

That Trump while visiting Russia decided to call up some Hookers to perform golden showers simply becasue Obama had slept in the bed? Really?

That story needs to be vetted to know if its false? Heck why stop at that maybe toss in a midget, a dwarf and a goat while you at it then tell me you still need to verify that its false

Yes. This is an industry 'slight of hand'. You report that Buzz Feed said something, then you proceed to share the story at great length. People listen to what was said, not that Buzz Feed said it. This is similar to the trick of reporting on something known to be untrue on the front page and then, several days later, print a retraction in the bar on page 8. CNN's tactic is common and intentional. It is a way of getting the false narrative out there under a guise of respectability. Plausible deniability. And you're obviously gullible enough to fall for it.

No, there was a real report, and it was unverified, but the report was real, had been circulating for almost a year. Fake news is totally made up by someone, no reports, unverified or unnamed sources, its given out with the teller totally aware that its made up.

YEP. Well, more accurately Propaganda, which they assure us is different from fake news.

Neither FOX or any other unbiased sources ran with a ( so obviously) fake story like that.

It was targeted for low info voters who just see a headline and never question it. Thats what all the fony stories are for. They are clearly showing their liberal ( Democrat ) bias.

All the lib media is going crazy and exposing themselves in they furor over Trump.
