I think it's not that people are so damn racist, but that people won't shut up about it, and then it makes people get super annoyed and react harshly because you've got one group of people trying to tell the other group of people they are victims, and villifying the other people, who don't feel they are villians, or responsible for their claim of victomhood, and demanding they serve time for it or be punished. It's like accusing somebody of stealing from you, who doesn't know you, nor done anything to you because somebody 150 years ago stole something from somebody you feel you identify with from 150 years ago. And nothing in-fact was ever actually stolen from the person who is claiming they had something stolen from them.

Yeah, it's scary.
