What's this about the filibuster?

I just read this article by Yahoo saying that Americans should be mourning the death of the filibuster. It has something to do with the Supreme Court. Wil our democracy be at risk? I'm starting to have a panic attack!

The judicial filibuster was invented by Democrats in 2003. So set your hair on fire.

Cloture is an important thing in confirming someone like Gorsuch.
But no, the GOP says "screw the rules, we've got a chance with this guy!"

They weasel their way into a simple majority . They would have NEVER allowed Obama and the Reid Senate to go nuclear. It's petty that our leaders can't see eye to eye on anything.

One thing's for sure. Mitch McConnell is possibly the most talented politician in Washington. He knows how to play the game.
