psychoactive drugs do like best?
For me at 42 it would have to be coffee. Though it is true in my younger days I liked the weed and booze in my middle age I prefer a mild drug that keeps me awake, so I drink a cup of joe. I drink Folger's coffee, none of that fancy Starbucks $hit.

I have done all of those. I was never much of a drinker, in fact I don't enjoy being tipsy at all. I love marijuana and I use it regularly, as many as several times a week when I have it.
But if I had to pick one it would be coffee. I don't think I could live without coffee, or at least it would take me a long time to adjust. If I don't have my big mug of coffee in the morning I get a nasty headache around 10:30-11:00 and the only thing that will make it go away is coffee. The well-known 'coffee headache'.
I don't like coffees like Folgers. I used to actually roast my own beans, but these days I just grind them. I sometimes get Starbucks or Peets at Costco. It's a little more expensive but not that bad. There are 'in bulk' beans at the grocery store that cost more but aren't as good. If I'm out running errands or on a trip or something, and I get tired or draggy, I'll stop by Starbucks (or other coffee place) and it just makes me feel better.
