Is my 200m time good?

This was my FIRST year in track and I m 13 years old so my times might not be too good. For 200m my best was 27.4sec and for 100m my best is 12.9sec. I personally think I have all the speed necessary to get better but I need to perfect my form for both 100 and 200. I qualified for the Meet of Champions for both 100 and 200 and I was the anchor for the relay team. So what do you think about my times? How should I improve? I know I have the speed, i just need to improve endurance and form, how CAN I DO THAT??

Your times are good, they have a chance of doing well in high school track. For endurance, go on some longer runs, perhaps 3 miles or so. Or you could go a different route and do sets, for example, you could do 6 200 meter sprints and try to keep your time consistent. I would aim for around 30-35 seconds every time. Sprinting form is different than distance form. For sprints you will want to be keeping your back straight, sprint on your toes, and move your hand/arm in a motion from your eye level to pocket level. Make sure to pump your arms because your arms moving faster increases leg speed also. Good luck

The first 10, 20 30, 40 and 50 metres are the most important, the last 50 in a 100m and last 150m in 200m is just maintaining the speed you've created in the first half. So, practise the first 50 metres.

Week 1: practise the first 10 metres, over and over again, perfect it and get a good time under your belt.
Week 2: practise 0-20 metres, incorporating everything you've learnt in week 1
Week 3: 0-30 metres
week 4: 0-40 metres
week 5: 0-50 metres
week 6: Put all of those practise sessions together and go the whole distance.

By Week 8-9 you should be flying!!!

as you learn to run your times will improve especially the 200 times which should be faster than what you did this year. Pay attention, learn, and improve.
