A very daring venture fraught with possible mishaps. I say go for it! If you fail you will have one heck of a Saab story.

If the car has been taken care of and had no mechanical problems, the chance of it randomly breaking down on a trip is very low. Local driving around town is harder on a car than long highway cruises, although steep hills will make the engine work harder. As long as the cooling system is in order and the car has been reliable, I personally would go and not worry about it.
