do you consider 16 to be a kid still?

i just turned 16 and my parents still treat me like one but 16 year olds in the media don’t really act like “kids.”

I've been in your shoes the answer is yes.

You won't understand it until you are old but you are still very much a unexperienced whelp.

If you're under 18 and not legal, hell yes you are a kid.

No. They’re minors but are closer to adults than children. If you were any other species you’d be considered an adult because you can reproduce. There was also a time that 16 year olds were considered adults.

Most 16 year olds try to act like adults but still have the judgment of kids. It is a dangerous age. Your parents are right to be watchful. You will earn more freedom the more mature you act. Arguing with them is a non profitable activity.

1. Your parents will always see you as their little boy/girl. That's not going to change just because you turned 16, or 61.

2. Most people in the media don't act like adults despite being 16, 18, 21, or beyond. I mean come on, do you honestly think any of the Kardashians are emotionally stable adults? Or how about anyone from "The Housewives of ___" They all act like drunken @ssh*les.
