Bosses/Level Bosses is a term to describe the main enemy, or the boss of a mod. A leader of the group that you are attacking. Of which these enemies will always be more powerful then the minions, underlings, or mods that you are attacking before. So they are called bosses becuase they are the leaders or the rulers of the groups that you are attacking.

There can be differences between bosses and level bosses. level bosses are are bossers of that level, floor, or area you are in. So if you are attacking a dungeon that is 5 floors, or 5 levels deep, and there is a boss on each level they are the level boss. In some cases there will be level bosses and a main boss. Of which level bosses will be weaker then the main boss, and the main boss will be the very last enemy you will fight.

Also not all game bosses are large in size. Many will be the same size as a standard human. But most bosses are large to indiciate to the player that this is a powerful enemy they are fighting and to use caution before and during a fight.
