Back in the late 70's I think it was, there were these 'snuff' movies where they would get people off the streets, give them a final meal, and then kill them in the movie.
There was a lot of talk about 'driller killer' back then being one. It later turned out that it wasn't, but there WERE some flying about which obviously couldn't get a censor rating.

I can't actually say gory, but Jack Ketchum's The Girl Next Door was really disturbing to me
