Why do Christians refuse to understand that hell does not scare us?

I was once to a Bronycon! I have seen horrors you can not imagine!

Seriously though, we atheists know that hell no more real then your god. So trying to scare us with it is a waste of time.

Any comparison Christians try to draw between hell and real life dangers will ALWAYS fall short. Because there is evidence for real life dangers such as crocodiles. There is no evidence for hell.

As such, avoiding crocodiles is rational. Avoiding hell is superstition.

Because they truly believe this invisible punishment that cannot be detected or measured in any way exists for those who don't follow Jesus. SOME truly want to save us from the danger, but on here the majority simply enjoy using it to separate themselves into an exclusive club which makes them feel superior.

REAL dangers can be detected in some way. Hell cannot.

Not all Christians believe in ‘hell’. That’s a simple-minded observation to begin with. But I understand that reducing things to black&white, simplistic, absolutist terms is a good crutch when you’re not sure you have a strong argument to begin with. Our President utilizes that technique all the time.

The first question you should ask yourself is, do you know Christ? Have you accepted Him as your Lord and savior, and asked for forgiveness of your sins? If so, you have eternal life in Heaven. Having Jesus is what is important. We Christians simply are inviting you to accept Heaven over Hell. Christ died so that we might have this choice. Scared or not, I know what my choice is. Think about your choice.

Hell doesn't exist as Trinitarians will tell you.

Obviously the idea isn't going to concern you as long as you remain ignorant of the reality. A person will go swimming with crocodiles if he doesn't believe they are present. However, Christians are required by God to share His truth with those who are ignorant of it. Many people discover that truth and come to God every year. If you go to Hell because I didn't share the truth with you, I will have to answer to God. But if you go to Hell because you reject His truth after it is presented to you, then you alone will have to answer for that decision.
