A spokesperson for CBP states “Applicants must demonstrate they are admissible into the U.S. by overcoming ALL grounds of inadmissibility including health-related grounds, criminality, security reasons, public charge, labor certification, illegal entrants and immigration violations, documentation requirements, and miscellaneous grounds," McCarthy wrote. "This individual was deemed inadmissible to the United States based on information discovered during the CBP inspection.”
They haven’t given a reason why he failed his background check. Maybe he is a terrorist or a criminal. He could be infected with a deadly disease, or never received the proper vaccinations required to enter the country or a hundred other reasons.
These checks are done for a reason, and has nothing to do with merit.
Consider this: If a person who is a US citizen associated with the types the student did: 1. Liberals would claim they should not be allowed to own a gun. 2. More then likely they would be under police surveillance. 3. There is a good chance they would be taken in for questioning. Just because the person is a "Harvard" does not grant them any immunity or special consideration. A lot of well educated people have done some very bad things.
There are rules on who can and can't come in, and getting accepted by Harvard does not override the other rules that are in place. Harvard is not the government.
Besides, why should foreigners be going there anyway? Shouldn't our nation's educational infrastructure be used for . . . educating our own people?
