Pro lifers: Many if you say you are pro life but you eat meat. Why?

A cow is just as (or, controversially, even more) alive than an unborn fetus. The cow has a heartbeat and brain activity. How would you defend eating meat if you preach life but eat death? Any reason is absolutely valid. I am doing a school poster on the controversy around meat and abortion and would be so excited to wake up to a few answers.

There are not different degrees of "alive. It's either alive or dead. A human being is fully alive from the moment of conception. Otherwise growth and development could nor occur.

Pro life is a wedge issue that gets Republicans elected, but they don't want to change things or they won't have a wedge issue for the next election.  Republicans oppose abortion, but murder people.  President W. Bush campaigned against abortion, then did nothing about abortion when elected (except cutting off funding for condoms which prevent unwanted kids, and cutting off funding to educate kids about not having kids when they are too young).  As governor, W. Bush taunted prisoners on death row and allowed a man to be executed though DNA evidence proved his innocense.  As president, W. Bush declared war against Iraq, killing a million people though Iraq had nothing to do with terrorism.  Iraq now has al Qaeda terrorists (Islamic States of Iraq and Syria) (ISIS), in response to W. Bush's cruelties.  W. Bush created a torture camp in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, which waterboarded prisoners in icewater, resulting in frostbite, gangrene, and amputations.  An 8 year old and 13 year old were at W. Bush's concentration camp (Guantanamo to evade US laws against torture).  Donald Rumsfeld claimed that carpet bombs (which leave 1/2 mile craters) didn't kill innocent civilians and kids. . . impossible not to.

Does abortion devalue life?  I think it does.  Does eating a hamburger devalue life?  Not for me it doesn't.
