How cool to see that moment. Not only did he award him that medal but this is what I love about our POTUS, is he awarded the medal and then said you are getting it ..... right .... now ... and had the first lady put it on him. Just a really cool moment and way of doing it.

Yay on making the Medal of Freedom not mean much anymore, just as Trump is lowering the bar on all kinds of things. Thank you for working to ruin our nation and eradicate its dignity.

Actually it was a cheap stunt and a great honor granted to an undeserving, drug addicted, blowhard.
It cheapened the State of the Union, a constitutional function of the President, which Trump diminished by his theatrical stunts.
Twice in one week has Trump dishonored America. First with is poor behavior during the National Anthem (see the hypocrisy considering his stance on the NFL players protests) and now his clown show of the State of the Union.
