Is the Amazon, target, etc "general strike" still going on?

On May 1 there was a "general strike" where workers for Amazon, Instacart, Target, and other major retailers went on strike to protest for safer working conditions and more transparency about COVID cases. I support blue collar workers, so I didn't buy anything from those businesses that day, and was told not to buy anything from Amazon in the lead-up to it either. Is the strike an ongoing activity or was it a one-day thing? I haven't heard about any businesses announcing new safer policies but I also haven't heard anyone say to continue to avoid those businesses. There are a few things I need to get from Amazon, so I want to order ASAP, but I can wait if the strikes are still ongoing.

As it was a May Day strike, it was over in 24 hours. As long as people keep buying things from them, nothing will change. And where do Amazon etc get all this cheap tat that people can't possibly manage without? China.

You boycotted Amazon for a whole day! Yeah. THAT'LL get 'em really worried!

Have not heard of a strike. If it were up to me, there would be no such thing. You quit. End of story.
