Did your parents ever search your room randomly as a teen?

Myself parents used to randomly raid my room looking for porn, drugs, or sex toys growing up and always used to give me that God awful talk when I got home from school if they ever found something. Needless to say I'm still resentful and a little ****** up as a result growing up that way. Has this ever happened to you? Why did they do it? Isn't what they did far worse than what I was doing?

Honestly, my parents didn't really care what went on in my room. I guess that was okay, since I never really had anything incriminating in there anyway.

Though when I was 7, I had a journal filled with swearing that I got busted for.

I wasn't even a teen, I was like eleven or so and my mom searched my room for my journal... she found it and then backhanded me across the face later for an entry she didn't like. I haven't felt the need to take it out on other people as an adult though.

I have no idea.  If my parents did they would be smart enough to do so when I wasn't around so I wouldn't know.  If they did so with me around they would be openly telling me they don't trust me.  If they found anything, I would be openly telling them they have good reason to not trust me.

Did my parents do that?  I don’t know...maybe.  My bedroom was always clean, if they wanted to find something it’s somewhere they can find it, i’m not hiding much from them.  They never found anything that was worth talking to me about.  If they did search my room they left it the way they found it and they always turned the AC up.

Your an idiot. Every parent is supposed to do that IF they are good parents. You were living in THEIR home and they were responsible for you in every way. If you had been caught with drugs outside the home THEY would be blamed for being bad parents. If they didn't do that you would know they didn't love you and could care less what happens to you. I was raised the same way and I am grateful since I did not slide into a bad lifestyle thanks to them. Your just a whiny ungrateful snowflake.
