Have you ever seen the Disney movie "Song of the South?"?

Did you like it? I thought it was pretty good and no, it shouldn't be taken in any way as to how things were back in the days of slavery.

I don't know if I did.  I think I might have, but I was quite young.

I definitely have lingering memories of it, but I think what I had was one of those play-along records.  The ones with the giant hole in the middle?  I think they played at 45 speed.  The songs were on it, and I have a strong memory of the brier rabbit part with the thorns.

I don't really remember the racist parts.  I'd love to see it because I'm always curious about old racist things to see if they're REALLY racist or if it's just our hypersensitive modernity where we declare EVERYTHING to be racist.  And in my experience some these old cartoons I've seen clips of are REALLY freakin' racist.

I saw it as kid in the 70's and remember enjoying it, not sure how I'd feel if I saw it now but I'd be kind of curious to watch it again.  I notice it's not on Disney + Not sure why?

I've seen it........and it wasn't one of their blockbusters, even back then.
When video came out.........I don't recall them being in any rush to release it on video......and it stayed in their Vault.  As far as I know, it still hasn't been released, as it's considered blatantly racist.
