Trump knows vulnerable Americans won't risk waiting in lines in crowded, Democratic cities. And no, just because people can have protests outdoors doesn't mean its safe for people to go to polling stations.

People tend to shout and chant at protests. That is a good way to pass on the virus and it is why some churches are closed - all that chanting and singing. Polling stations should be much quieter.
Mailboxes are constantly being removed. There has been a constant renewal scheme going on for decades. Old mailboxes are removed and they are replaced with new ones.
When the postal union sponsors the Democrats then handles many of the ballots - what could possibly go wrong?
