He chose to error on the side of caution at that time. Little was known about the virus and there was conflicting info among some experts. Trump did not want to create panic by way of a knee-jerk sound of alarm. It did not take him much time to take appropriate action once he had more information. He was called a racist by Democrat leaders for shutting down travel between China and the U.S.....the same leaders who told Americans that it was okay to go to Chinatown and eat out in restaurants....etc. China and the WHO need to pay dearly for their collusion in withholding information on the severity and spread of the disease until it was....to late.
