My dad got In trouble because he asked out what he was told was 14 year old girl on some dating app, and he wanted to pick her up and take her to get coffee, her dad called the cops and now he’s under investigation, he did nothing wrong, it’s not illegal to take someone out for coffee. He could go to jail for doing nothing wrong, it’s not like he asked her for sex. Yet I get made fun of cause my dads being persecuted, this could affect me big time. How do I stop this.

Let's see if I've got this straight.  Your father joined a dating app and knowing the girl was only fourteen, still asked her out for for coffee.  Do you really think all dads act this way?  If you do, then I've got a sinkhole in Florida I'd like to sell you.

He made arrangements to meet a 14 yr old.

He IS a pedophile.   Dont try the "just coffee" excuse.  He met her on a DATING AP.   The long term goal was NOT "just coffee".

Anyone who is NOT a pedo would tell a 14 yr old girl that she needs to meet boys her own age, and then block her.  They wouldnt meet up for "coffee"
