All first world countries use a combination of capitalism and socialistic properties in it's best interest. The properties are indicated by what taxes pay for. The right wing abuses the word "socialism" to trigger outrage as the applications can be complicated through misrepresentation.

Where do I Start
Well first off...Article one section 8 of the US Constitution which is a list of socialist powers given to congress by the constitution, from regulating Trade between states, Indian tribes and foreign countries....To the government securing the rights to scientific discoveries and inventions......Then we can look at our socialist systems, social security, Medicare, Medicaid, the GI bill....I could go on
Truth is the way we think about socialism vs capitalism, in our political discussions is wrong... it’s not either one or the other. In truth ALL COUNTRIES, ALL GOVERNMENTS are a combination of both socialism and capitalism.....You need both and too much to one end leads to tyranny
