Just asking because my boyfriend usually calls me. But today he didn’t, and he’s logged into fb. Smh. Like he could at least say he got home safe right?

I live with my "boyfriend" (to whom I'm married) and prior to the lockdowns he wouldn't bother telling me when he was coming or going and we live in the same house. I think you're expecting a bit much here.

Do you ever Initiate convos with him first? “Hey babe I know you had a busy day at work, let me know when you get home safely” “hey babe I hope you had a great day at work, text me when you get home safely” “hi baby call me when you get home from work” “hey babe I got some nice dinner for us for whenever you get home, let me know when you get home safely” it is not his job to always start convos when he gets home for work. Use that as an opportunity to put in some effort to start convos first. Him saying “I’m home safe” everyday is a routine and to him it’s getting old. Stop making something important like getting home safely a routine

Maybe he just assumed it was something you didnt care to know either way.
Men only stop doing this when their significant others are indifferent.
