The impeachment process is only step 1, and if the republican senators vote against it, they will only be putting their own seat in play in 2022.
The point is that Trump will then be charged with criminal activities, and the jury will NOT be packed with Trump butt kissers. The charges will be, apart from insurrection, treason and working on behalf of the Russian dictator, fraud, influence peddling, collusion, tax evasion, bribery, among others.
When the garbage starts coming out, those who supported him will be seen as accomplice and will have a hard time facing voters at the next mid-term.
And the orange shitstain will evidently be jailed for the rest of his life.
