Can you use bleedstop on a stab/interior wound?

Curious for future reference. If someone is stabbed, would it be ok to pour bleedstop (powdery stuff) inside the wound to help stop the bleed, or could that "complicate" the inside based on where they were stabbed..? 
This is for the minutes before any professionals come and they could bleed out and die...

And would it help to put on the surface of the wound to stop the blood from coming out, or would it only complicate it for when first reponders have to open it up to look inside?

No, most of those powders are just inert material or starches that absorb liquid. So it probably wouldn't be particularly harmful, but I doubt it would work on any really deep or profusely bleeding wound.
