Modern cares really only need a warm up from the time you start it to the time you buckle your seat belt and put it in drive. Unless in sub zero weather.

I can see doing that when the weather is really freakin' cold and you'd like to warm up the interior a bit. But as far as the engine and drivetrain are concerned, as long as you wait until the oil pressure has come up and the fluids have begun circulating, it's not necessary to warm it up before driving. That was the case with older cars with carburetors because being warm helped the vaporization of the fuel into the air intake, but every engine these days is fuel injected and doesn't need to be warm to run well.

It's unnecessary for the car (and might even do damage). And it is bad for air quality. People have to breathe the air that you are polluting. So, no.
