That you want to ignore anonymous answers indicates you’re not the least bit interested in a real answer.  One doesn’t need a “proper nomenclature” to answer a question.

But I get why you’re confused.  Gun advocates’ keep changing definition of ‘assault rifles’ is meant to sow confusion.

In the end, what we call these firearms does not really matter. What matters is the extent to which semi-automatic guns should be widely available.

They want you to only be able to own a musket.

Assault weapons, in my estimation, must be full auto capable without "at home" modification.

You can't get those without a class 3 anyway..and most people don't want to buy the licensing yearly.

Its big and scary!!!  It shoots hundreds of bullets at once. Its loud! And that bump stocker thing had a rocket launcher hook up for it.
