Well, no. I don't think so.
As someone who 'fell in love' when I was young, then again after losing a spouse, it's different. I think when someone is older, the love is less hormonally driven, and more based on the personality and character or the beloved.
With one's *first* love, practical things aren't usually involved. How you fit your lives together isn't always considered -you figure things will just work out.
Where will the two of you live? does one of you leave his/her home to go live with the other, do the two of you find a third place to call home, is there parity in your finances or is one of you going to be the financial support of the other?
I wouldn't say it's not as strong, but it is different.
