With my prostate gland removed, do I still have to abstain from sex, riding, bicycle for 2 or 3 days before I have my periodic PSA test?
Good day. I have been reading through and found that certain things like some drugs, riding a bike, sex can lead to an elevated PSA. I had my prostrate surgically (prostatectomy) about removed 2.5 years ago. I however go for some periodic checks to see if PSA is with accepted limit. I am due for check in two weeks.
Wish you all a blessed day

Sounds like they are wasting your time & making money. There are need for tests but not a PSA test. Cycling has no effect by the way.
I had my prostate removed due to cancer about 4 years ago. I have done a lot of research on the subject and have never heard of such a thing. You do need to have your PSA checked every 6-12 months to make sure the cancer isn't coming back. After the surgery your PSA should read near zero.
It is the stimulation of the prostate that can result in elevated levels due to these activities. You no longer have a prostate so your level should be close to zero no matter what activities you undertake. If concerned, ring the place where the test will be done and ask.
