If it's dangerous to eat in restaurants right now, does that mean the same for hair salons and gyms?
So, if COVID-19 spreads in enclosed spaces through aerosolized particles from other people breathing them out, does that mean I should avoid hair salons and gyms for the meantime? Plus the fact that not everyone will wear a mask is what worries me. I guess this is what defines what an essential business is, because restaurants, hair salons and gyms are considered leisure activities, because these days, all I do when I go out is go to the groceries, pharmacies and convenience stores where you just buy and leave the place immediately.
In my area there have been outbreaks that were linked to a gym. A person had it and didn't know it when they were in the gym. They infected another person which caused secondary and tertiary cases, about 60 of them were linked to that person. I haven't heard of cases coming from salons or restaurants (again in my area), they are closed but even before they closed I didn't hear of cases coming from them. There was even cases coming from retail stores.I feel safer going to a salon, then a gym or restaurant. I don't feel particularly safe about going to a restaurant because you can't wear a mask when you're eating or drinking. Also you don't know how well they're cleaning every thing. With a gym you can't clean every thing thoroughly enough, and people are breathing heavily when they exercise with a mask on. At least at a salon you can wear a mask the whole time you're there. In my area they're limiting capacity and using physical distancing when ever possible. They also clean every thing after each client. I haven't been to a restaurant, gym or store in over a year. The last time I went to a salon was a month or two before Christmas. This question doesn't have any thing to do with eating in a hair salon. Which people have done before covid. They want to know so I'm answering. I'm not being a moron like the question mark, obviously a troll. Covid should be taken seriously, it's not a joke.
I haven't been in a gym, restaurant, hair salon, church, bar or anywhere but the doctor's office, grocery store or pharmacy for a year. I always wear a mask and stay away from other people. On the plus side, no one in my family has had a cold, flu or stomach bug in a year, either.
