Many lives would be saved because that would mean that handguns and knives would be outlawed and they are used to commit the large % of murders. None. People will just switch to a .30 cal carbine. Effective range 300 yards. About 6lbs in weight, very light. Easy to shoot. And with the folding stock. It easily fits in a back pack.
