My boyfriend told me something and I am not sure what to say how should I handle it?

A sensitive topic but he told me that recently he has been having deep inner thoughts that has led him to the path of being ashamed of being a white guy.

He told me he isn't sure what to do and he has contemplated a sex change but I told him that's not how sex changes work.

He admitted he's ashamed of being both. I'm assuming he believes if he gets a sex change he at least will not be seen as a white guy something the media is grossly degrading in the name of division

I'm a little confused, is he ashamed of being white? Or being a guy? Sounds like to very different issues.

If it's because he feels like he's a women in a guys body then you need to be supportive. Obviously in the long run because you liked him for being a guy you may find that you loose him as a partner but may be gain him as a friend.

Need to tread very carefully here. He needs proper support and help. Look for online groups, or support groups.

Youre telling the person considering a sex change how it's supposed to work? You sound like you don't know how sex changes work.
